Chalkhill blues

Chalkhill blues
by David Brooker from Blofield GB on 30 Jul 2021

A trip to Warham camp yesterday morning hoping the Chalkhill blues had started to emerge and they had :-) Plenty of them all around the hills thpugh the wind made it hard work as the butterflies continued to feed as low down as possible. We tried to find the more sheltered areas low down in the moats and i did manage a few shots. These are stunning little butterflies and always the last Blues to emerge, Usually around the end of july early August
