These images were taken on 31/03/17 at Fairhaven Woodland & Water Gardens of a female muntjac deer that lives there. I believe she was the subject of a road traffic accident in 2015 and suffered some nasty injuries from which she has fully recovered and now lives in peace in Fairhaven's woodland. Although by no means tame, she is quite approachable.

Super series Tabs.
Regards Pete.
Thank you for your kind comment Dudley it is much appreciated. Yes you are right about the shrinking world for wildlife, but there is a lot of people/organisations working very hard to change it for the better.
Had a good weekend spent Saturday morning 06:00 doing a Dawn Chorus guide/walk at Fairhaven.

A sad story with a happy ending Tabs, and I am sorry to say as the countryside shrinks through mans advancement in civilization it can only get worse as animals and traffic do not mix. Beautiful animal and a wonderful series of images, Hope that you both had a lovely weekend KR
Many thanks to Rosemary, Susan & Terry for all your kind comments on the muntjac they are much appreciated. Yes Rosemary she was aware of me and pushed past me to cross the bridge. She now has a lovely little stag to keep her company.
Kind regards Tabs
