These images were taken on Hevingham Heath on 20/04/17 showing how well camouflaged the adder is. This specimen was about a metre in length and was almost invisible when motionless. Very common reptile on Norfolk's heathland and venomous.

Thank you Anne, thank you Rosemary for your nice comments on the adder they are much appreciated. I believe it is a male because of the light olive colouration compared with the brown/chestnut females that are on that site, but if it is a male, it's a big one.
