A glorious day was forecast after the miserable Saturday that had scuppered any plans to take the camera anywhere. Strumpshaw seemed to be a safe bet so off I went.
The robin was being his usual posing self, even fluffing himself up for me. Nice to see the kingfisher sitting amongst the reeds, even if he was some way off. Flocks of Long Tailed Tits flitted tree to tree making it hard to get any of them framed and focussed before they moved off again. The overnight -2 temperature made finding the Migrant Hawker dragonfly an unexpected treat. Finally spent some time watching the nuthatches feeding in the woods, it was a bit dark in there so the ISO was cranked up as high as I dare.
Have to say it was a good day!
