Yes they somtimes do have a second brood but the weather has been abit unkind to them this year, and this nest went from middle of lake to the edge during the high water at Bawburgh Lakes. Their is alot of Grebes about this year as well.

Sure they can have two broods some years - I've seen them with small young when I get back on the rivers in the autumn before now.
