Archbishop Sancroft High School were delighted when ex student Charlotte Peck agreed to visit school with her Olympic Torch during the last week of the summer term.
Charlotte lit the Olympic Cauldron on the 4th July 2012 in Norwich. She was originally nominated by her mum to be a torchbearer because “she is an inspirational person”. Charlotte, who is now a full trained Community First Responder, gives up her time every Sunday to give emergency first aid, being the first on the scene when a person calls for an ambulance. She is able to use a defibrillator which is vital if somebody collapses having a heart attack. Community First Responders are all volunteers and they have to raise money for their equipment, Charlotte has recently raised £740. As well as being a Community First Responder Charlotte works full time as a Nursery Nurse and is studying for a degree with the Open University to become a teacher.
