Local group Crumbs for Comfort performed for the pupils of The Ashley School Academy Trust as part of work a group of pupils are doing this week on the history of Lowestoft. Following a visit from local historian Ian Robb the children went to St. Margarets Churchyard, a place mentioned in a song written by Alex of the band Crumbs for Comfort. In the afternoon the band members talked about how they got together as a band and talked to the pupils about their instruments. The band wowed the audience with songs they have written about local places and with some cover versions too. The pupils were encouraged to join in assisting the band with percussion instruments. The afternoon gig was appreciated by both staff and pupils it is hoped the band will return again in the near future.
