Hethersett Old Hall School pupils experience Olympics sports and receive training from U16's girls' national volleyball coach

Year 10 and 11 girls (aged 14-16) at Hethersett Old Hall had a fantastic opportunity earlier this month, when the head coach of England’s U16’s national girls’ volleyball team, Tomasz Morawski, came to the school and gave pupils two taster sessions of the sport.

Miss Beale, Head of PE at the school, is currently organising for every Senior school pupil to experience an Olympic sport that they do not currently learn. This week Year 9 pupils will be having some kayaking taster sessions on paddle machines in the Sports Hall.

The girls really enjoyed the volleyball sessions and the school is now looking at the potential to set up a volleyball club and working with Mr Morawski, who is based at the UEA, in the future.
