Sing with Pride, the Pride Choir, have got two performances this week and warmed up with an all-day rehearsal at beautiful Hayman Lodge in Catton Park on Sunday. The first performance is on Wednesday 27th February at "An Evening with Amazing People" at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital from 6pm. The event has been organised by the hospital's LGBT Staff Group and features an audience with Clare Harvey, paralympian, who will speak about what it's like to be one of the very few Olympians and Paralympians who were "out" at last summer's Games.
On Thursday 28th February, Sing with Pride have got their annual concert at Jurnet's Bar, Wensum Lodge, King St from 7.30pm, to close LGBT History Month. The event will include guests Kimberley Moore, Andrea Burdett, Friends of Eccles and Queer Calypso from the Mighty Phantom. The event is free but there will be a raffle and fundraising games. The choir are fund-raising for their trip to "Hand in Hand", the LGBT Choirs Festival in London on 13th July where they will meet up with LGBT choirs from across the UK and Ireland.
Steve Luniss, chair of Sing with Pride says:
"We are an inclusive choir - everyone is welcome whatever their ability or sexuality. It's a great time to join Sing with Pride. The national festival in July will be an amazing experience and we are going to be learning some rousing, feel-good songs for Norwich Pride on 27th July. Come along to our performances this week to hear us in action and see what you think"
