Part 1. Norwich rose on the 14th February 2013 outside the Forum Library, in the rain everyone danced with joy, the steps of the rising song. I arrived at 12 pm to help out and take photos. Just before One pm I rushed for a comfit break with Fame dancer Sam, we went back outside and the Forum, minutes after, there was wall to wall people, flooding into make there stance dance about ending violence against women. The dancers were sealed in with crowds watching with cam corders and ipads, and mobile phones, press photographers, TV cameras. We had different dances shown to us, after the One billion rising song. We had Kia dance, belly dance, street dance, Zumba Queen. The school children lined the front rows looking out on to the city. We all followed the children's dance steps. So many people turned up without knowing the dance moves and completely got into it. The crowd of dancers all in time, dancing like waves in the sea. The sun broke out through the clouds and the rain stopped. The dancing was solid for an hour. Norwich Sheriff came along in support of Norwich Rising. It was a great buzz. Part 2. More photos soon.
