Herbie, the anthropomorphic 1963 Volkswagen Beetle was bought to fame in 1968 as the charming protagonist in Disney’s film ‘The Love Bug’. Then went on to star in many more films and his own TV series. He doesn’t have four wheels, but equally charismatic and loveable as his automobile counterpart, is one year old Labrador cross, Herby, who is hoping somebody ‘goes bananas’ over him soon.

Says Kate Brewster, Dogs Trust Snetterton Supporter Relations Officer:

“Herby is a happy, handsome hound, who is hoping somebody will ‘come to the rescue’ and offer him a loving home soon as he is finding kennel life quite stressful. A bright, bouncy boy who loves toys, food, people, and life in general, he has been known to wag his tail with such enthusiasm he has knocked himself off his paws!

“A loving lad Herby really enjoys company and is looking for a family who are around a lot to show him the ropes. Still a young dog Herby would love to find an active home, perhaps with older children who could help continue his training. With time and guidance Herby will make a fantastic companion.”

If you think Herby is ‘the best man’ for you please call Dogs Trust Snetterton on 01953 498 377 or visit to find out more.
