Trees & Birds vrs School?

I wonder how many of these majestic trees will be lost along with the sparrow and starling flocks when the new Lingwood School is built?

lets hope the tree's win, the school has only just put out planning permission to build (on a busy road) lets hope the trees get to stay & school goes around them!

I hope they do. The plans are available but more complex than I can figure out so we will have to wait and see.

Hopefully the trees will be a resource for learning at the new school; Art, Environmental Studies, creative writing, awe and wonder. So many curricular opportunities!! Do they have a tree protection order? How close is this to the new school site? The Woodland Trust could provide the local community with good advice.
