i keep going back to this cathedral cloisters spot and here is the latest attempt to capture it with a wide angle lens!

Hello Jeff,

Many thanks for the two emails. I have an old version of Photoshop Elements and will try that (version 7) but otherwise will look at the other options.

I'm surprised the EDP haven't used the picture in it's 'Reader's Photo of the Day' feature - it really deserves to be there.

Also if your thinking 'photoshop is too bloomin expensive!' dont! you can get photoshop CS3 and CS4 for a tiny fraction of the price of the newest version and to be honest im not seeing a massive difference in function!!!

Brandon the HDR work (blending 3 low, medium and high exposures together) can be done via adobe photoshop or Nik HDR efex pro (look it up on the internet)...there are plenty of others out there too! the actual stitching together of all the photos can be done in photoshop or again lots of other apps on the net!

Great picture - I think you;'ll find it difficult to improve upon. Which software did you use to stitch the 3 shots together?

Thanks all for your comments! much appreciated....DaveGahan i used a Nikon D80 with an 8mm Rokinon wide angle lens (you can pick them up on ebay for about £150) and all in all i took 30 pictures! i took 10 'HDR' pictures in a grid like fashion to cover all the areas... if your not sure what HDR is its 3 pictures of the same thing, one taken dark, one taken medium and one taken light exposure then used software to get all the tones from all 3 pictures into one photo. so after making 10 HDR photos i stitched them together using software and then with a little more editing came out with this pic...im still not happy with it as im getting a little obsessed with the symmetry!!!!!!!
