Full Moon in Blofield

The Moon looked nice and crisp last night so i tried a few shots on my tripod with my nikon D5100+ Sigma 150-500 at 500mm.
Settings were iso100 f/16 1/160 stabiliser off tripod mounted using live view, remote activated

I no longer use any uv filters now unless im moving about in thick under growth, and thats only to protect the lens, image quality is far sharper without one, really looking forward to the day when i can afford to buy one, i just wish they were a bit more light friendly but to buy an f2 lens is just out of the question..Thanks Dave.

Dont think you will be disappointed, great lens, bit heavy though i am always amazed how good the stabiliser is, Even managed sharp shots as low as 1/125 handheld at 500mm.
Only regret is spending £50 on a sigma uv filter for it only to discover it affects the quality.
Best not to use any filters on a lens like this.
The large hood offers good protection. ;)
